Belonging to AOL is a hinderance in most internet newsgroups. Many AOL, 
prodigy, CI$ users get slammed all the time. It's because most of them do 
things that are considered dumb, or are just total jerks thinking they are 
GOD. Only a small % of them know what they're doing.
I go thru a local provider. I get full internet access for $20 a month, 
UNLIMITED usage mind you. Yeah, AOL has pretty "fool proof" graphics, but if 
you get a shell or ppp account, the pc software is pretty fool proof as well. 
Almost all point and click, except the actual entering messages.
