Scott,
Had the same troubles here with FaxWorks for DOS, switched over to a 
FAX/MODEM/TAD switch which monitors the incomming call and passes it off to 
the propper unit, works well and has saved me from going to a seperate line 
for the FAX, cost was $75 from Damark and you might even find them cheeper in 
other places.
