I have been using 2 lock joint callipers and elbow crutches since polio
in 1956.
The trendy architects have been increasingly designing a lot of "ice
skating rinks" for people to walk on in the foyers of large buildings
and big shopping centres over the last 15-20 years - making my life
very difficult. Do you know what I am talking about?
What I am talking about are the highly glazed stone type floors that
become extremely slippery and dangerous with either dust, or even one
drop of water.
// Has anyone found suitable crutch tips that are non slip on such
surfaces? If so I would love to hear how people manage, and details
about the tips.
Now we have legislation like the ADA, called the Disability
Discrimination Act, which enables me to make a complaint about the lack
of safe access in one of our big shopping centres. But before I do, I
feel I should check so see if there are non-slip tips
regards
Allan
