Hello,
I was talking recently in the UK Cad echo .........
I've been looking at the "new wave" 3d modellers like ProEng
and Ideas, but even if we get them I reckon Acad will still
be the drawing distribution/maintenance package
But Acad have done very little on that front to be pleased with
You ever seen the "navigator" feature? (Not an Acad feature)
When the pointer gets near an identity some text pops up next to
the pointer on screen (err NOT in a dialogue box but text with
the background still visible)
This text changes to MID END TAN QUA INT CEN etc as you move
around it's GREAT

Too right in fact apart from the Bhatch, DDedit, CHT text
editing R10 was fine, the 3D junk stuffed in R12 is not for
us.

Well draughtsmen/persons tend to use Acad - not Electronic
Design engineers that like to use a modem and happen to be
a whizz on Acad - does that help in being a reason why?!!
:
Any others? The International ones don't seem to notice the
UK input one little bit, and what they talk about is not UK
popular stuff anyways ;-)
Try this out
Ever scaled and then can't scale it back 'cos it's a nasty fraction
the other way
And many other instances where you know the ratio as two numbers?
Try this, when you are asked for numerical input type "Cal" or
" 'Cal " the output from the cal function is piped back as the
numerical input :-))
Neat !!
& I've not found any limitations on this yet
