The string here at the Gate is quite dry with a high copper content, The local loop was replaced a year or two ago and the exchange has been upgraded to AXE not that long ago, my calls both locally and STD are quite good it's only calls to a small town (Tingha) which is SE of here that are bad, i'd say the local exchange and lines out there aren't real good.
