Just butting in here a bit, hope you don't mind...
I have a set of Ruby's in my blackface Bassman. I think they are awfully 
good.. Bought them on a whim, 'cause the GT's were not in stock, and was 
quite surprised at both the tone, as well as reliability of them...
Ok, here's my question. I have a Fender Blues JR, that's totally killer. 
Probably about time to re-tube, and I would like to put the Ruby's in it...
Question is, how do you bias the Jr ??
