subject: Echo`s without a current

Hello All!

As you all know (I hope) 3 moderators have died since last May.

Namely Roger Nelson, Ben Ritchey and Bill McGarrity.

Some of these effected echo's have now been taken over by others but there is
still a number that have not.

The issue is that when the elist program runs a WARNIng run to report on any
that are expiring the netmails go into never-never land.

So unless any one comes back to me to advise they wish to take any of them on
will changes the MOD settings to that of elistmaint not not to update them as
many are dead traffic wise at least according to my systems data.

This could be a problem in bad links at my end or they are just dead.

In any event I will not bother updating them and let them leave the ELIST
system in 2 - 3 months time.

So, if you want to take any of them on get in touch and I will send you a copy
of MOD-UPD files that you can use to do that as it needs 3 files with names
of:

Each of these will require you to have a password created for yourself.

echotag1.ECO where you have added yourself as COMOD1 and sent from the
current
MODerator where the MOD and FROM are still in the original mods name.

echotag2.ECO Where you change MOD and FROM to yourself.
echotag3.ECO Where you delete the COMOD1 [ COMOD1 DELETE ]

See easy and it is all automated.

I will leave it until Sunday and make the changes for all not taken over.

Of course if you decide to take any on after that just look at the
latest ECHOLIST archive for what is used for MOD and FROM which you should may
do any way.

I intend to see if I can work out how to set up the program postfix in order
to
get emails working but there are a lot of configutation files involved.

Vincent
