you are thinking of FD and friends... they are File Attach mailers and they
pack netmail messages in their netmail area on their own... binkd and friends
cannot do that because they do not have any idea what a netmail area is...
binkd and friends rely on the tosser to do the same job that FA mailers spoiled
us with... the truth is that FA mailers do perform some tossing and scanning
functions like a tosser but they are limited strictly to netmail in only one
netmail area...

binkd and other similar BSO mailers only read and react to files of specific
nameing formats in their outbound directories... they don't care what is in the
files... only that they can read their names to send and delete them... only
?LO files are parsed by BSO mailers and that so they know which other files to
send that do not have the hex xxxxyyyy naming format... BSO is more primitive
than the other formats used by FA mailers...
