I read about the proposed MLB realignment in yesterday's paper, and I have
one comment...why not rename the American League the Eastern Conference and
the National League the Western Conference? Maybe MLB could align like the
NHL and have an Atlantic Division and a Northeast Division (those would be
the divisions in the AL) and a Central Division and a Pacific Division (that
would be for the NL)...and they could still award the AL trophy for the
winners of the Eastern Conference, and the NL trophy for the winners of the
Western Conference. Of course, people wouldn't like to see the proverbial end
of the AL and NL, but that's what it seems to me.
About the NFL, you make sense. They should just have 2 divisions per
conference (NFC East, NFC West, AFC East, and AFC West). This is a possible
idea for NFL alignment, and tell me what you think (what you like and what
you don't like)...
