My sister doesn't approve of my daughter's lifestyles because one has kids and
never married and the other has been living with her boyfriend for about 16
years now, but she doesn't ignore any of us over it. I honestly don't think
that she thinks when we talk and she makes statements about how horrible it is
for a single woman to have kids without the "benefit" of marriage
and that a
couple would actually live together. Her son is 2 months older than mine, both
being single guys. She said one time that she hopes that he finds someone nice
and get married and emphasized that the baby should come after the wedding. In
an ideal world that is what happens, but this isn't an ideal world. Since there
is no way to know if a guy has a kid running around somewhere unless it was
told to the guy and his family, I would laugh (sorry) if some nice woman would
show up on the doorstep with another grandchild for her to know. I love my
sister dearly but you would have to really know her to understand why I would
laugh about that.
