Hi Derek, Martin,

I unsuccessfully attempted to remove first one, then the other, of the
leads from a 4-socket female power LED with only the outer two
populated, in order to fit onto an ASUS M2N-MX SE motherboard that had
only two pins, #1,#3 on the end of a block, with #1 immediately
adjacent to a capacitor.
Eventually I resorted to using a pair of toenail-clippers, to split
off the two populated sockets, and individually connect them - which
looked pretty ugly, but worked!
