Okay - so I've tried "AT#K0#J0\N7" as well, and it disabled V.42,
V.42bis and MNP Class 10, but the connection rate hasn't improved. I'm
basically just trying to find out which modem is "at fault" (if
at all), since we used to connect at 26.4Kbps pretty consistently, but when
he dropped an EPROM revision on the USR, connections became 24.0Kbps
consistently. And of course, not *one* connection at 28.8Kbs, despite the
fact that we can connect at 28.8Kbps elsewhere. :-(

What happens when you get:

        Rockwell Controller Revision EA3C 5536 9F93 B2AF 0E "05BA"

That's "05BA" (the newer datapump) but with a leading heart character.

Thanks..
