It can't be my line because :
(a) it happens on all the lines into my house (not that that's much of a test)
(b) to non-USR modems, my M11F gets great connects.

I have tried any number of NetComm firmware revisions. It's not isolated to
this M11F either, I recall posting some detailed results of EXPENSIVE tests
which indicate clearly to me that a USR is not to be trusted if you're
paying timed rates for the call, unless both ends are USR.
