Well the Kurds have been more or less independant for the last 10-12 years.
My concern is more that the ethic problems between the Kurds, Arabs and
Turkomen could cause the Turks to step in to protect their people in
Northern Iraq. The Turks are very serious about the Kurds and the threat to
the Turks. The Kurds in Turkey have been a problem for a while and the
Turks are not easy on them.

 I agree that the administration needs to do a lot more on the borders and
shipping. I would be more worried about a container ship going boom. Think
Galveston Texas where a fertilizer ship exploded in 1948. We have made some
progress on inspections but nowhere near enough.
