Hello Michiel.

What would I likely destroy if I comment out the part of code that renames 
file(s) to the 8.3 format?
Does the bbs use the long or short name for locating files on the harddrive?

If doing the above will kill the system, would it be posable for you to add a 
flag to the file area's setup that allows that area to have long file names 
both in the file listing and on the harddrive?
