TS> > What is the cost in Austraila for the anual hydro?
TS>The normal price arround the shops is about AUS$30, this
TS>includes an airfill.
Not knowing the exchange rate, we pay around $25-$30 US for hydo here.
TS> > Are all compressed gases cylinders hydro'd every year?
TS>ALL submersible (i.e. SCUBA) cylinders must be visually AND
TS>hydrostatically tested every 12 months.
I see, the submersible is what qualifies the tank for a one year hydo.
TS>"SpareAir" cylinders every 5 years. I don't know why the
TS>"SpareAir" falls into this second catagory.
Typical beaurcaratic foul up.
TS>bar. This is an attempt to reduce IMO the sales of STEEL
TS>cylinders, which are VERY popular here (260 bar and 300
TS>bar). The 300bar cylinders are only fitted with DIN valves.
Can you give the PSI equivelents for the bar numbers of 260 & 300?
I have dived with a steel tank once in the caribbean, other than
that, I have only used AL tanks. Rarely see a Steel Tank in the
Caribbean.
TS>CIG, Australias only cylinder manufacture has recinded its
TS>"LIFETIME" warranty on cylinders and has it made
TS>retospective. There has been a growing number of failures.
Are the tank failures in AL or Steel tanks?

TS>A new Scuba School?
No just a joke, the school is : Wilson's home for Wayward Women, and
those that wish to be wayward. :)
