Thanks for the most comprehensive response. This guy is a co-worker who
is in charge of our city streets/water/sewer, an all-around decent guy
and curious citizen. I found out that making people like this happy is
to your advantage. I am a police officer in the same town with this guy
and we work with one another on various "minor emergencies."
I gave him an old BC-210XLT with an 800 Mhz converter so he could listen
to our PD freqs. His garage got broken into and many of his tools and
the radio/converter were stolen. He got an insurance settlement and got
a BC-890XLT, and has this Pro-46 "lying around."
