Hi Vicki,
RH> I usually use a paint brush or the little cleaning brush that came
RH> with the machine.
VO> I do that about 1/2 the time. :)
It will save you a lot of frustration and potential repair bills if you
make it a habit to do it every time you use the machine. I can't afford
for my machine to go down so I have to take good care of it.
RH> I've heard that canned air is bad for frequent use
VO> I didn't realize that.
Something about it has just a little bit of moisture that can harm the
machine. Also, some spaces don't have an outlet so you would be blowing
all of the lint into a corner or something, which could lead to a big
time problem.
RH> got a good check for making 5 dresses for the high school girl's
RH> choir. That went for my Nancy's Notions order.
VO> That's good.
I'd rather pay for my big orders that way instead of taking from the
household budget. I put in one big order, sometimes two, per year
instead of small ones that count up faster on postage & handling
charges. It's fun going thru a bigger box of stuff too. (G)
RH> Just a note of warning. I guess part of it is how people care for
RH> whatever it's used in. I just don't want to take any chances after
RH> putting in a lot of hard work on a project.
VO> Now you've got me thinking. It's nice to be aware of though.
I think we all want to take good care of our machines, especially if
they are an important part of our lives. The cost of repairs these days
is high but the cost of replacement is much higher. I know that if
something happened to this sewing machine, I'd probably not be able to
replace it with one of like quality so I have to treat it well--and not
fry any motherboard in it.
Catch you later,
Ruth
