My small SCSI boot drive crashed leaving me unable to boot.  My data 
drive was a large SATA drive so I decided to boot from it.  The plan was 
to duplicate the SCSI + SATA partition setup on the SATA drive and then 
install ecs1.2 on D: (my old maint partition), reinstall Backagain/2 
then restore the other partitions from tape. At this point I had 
Bootmanager installed, C: as primary + bootable, D: as logical + 
bootable and E:, F: & G: not bootable + logical.

I was able to install ecs on D: and then reboot and install Backagian/2 
on E:.  When I ran BA/2 I got a message that there was no tape drive 
present.  I opened the case and saw that I must have bumped the scsi 
cable as it was not attached to the tape drive.  I shutdown and plugged 
the tape drive back in but when I tried to reboot I got a message that 
there was no boot drive.

Using the ecs cd and booting to the management counsule showed me the 
drive and all the partitions that I had put on it was where still there. 
I tried to reinstall esc to D: but when it rebooted I did not get the 
"boot from harddrive" option instead I got the menu you see when booting 
from the install cd.  Nothing I did would make it boot.  I even deleted 
all the volumes I created and let the installer make a 2 GB C: formatted 
hpfs but it still would not boot.

I was at first able to boot from it a couple of times but now I cannot. 
  Does anyone have any idea why?
