John and I went up to see Phoenix today.  She has been a pill for the last
few days because she has grown very attached to a gelding about her age
that has also come for training. They started the hollering thing when they
were apart and then they both stopped "listening" when it was their turn to
work.  So, they are now seperated and neither one is very happy about it.
Phoenix pouted at me the whole time I was there.  She even went back to
being mouthy, like a baby. A minor setback in her training, but I'm sure
she'll regain her confidence and figure out that she can be a big girl all
on her own.
So, I can relate to the pony situation.
We visited some past clients/new friends of mine for lunch today who had
moved here from Irvine, CA.  They bought a house in the metro area from me
and then went to Elberton, (2 hours out) and bought a victorian home to
restore as their weekend project.  We went to the victorian to see it today
and it was magnificent!  Frank and Cyndee were really suffering with the
heat and humidity, though.  It must be very nice out there, even when the
weather stinks by your standards.  I keep telling Cyndee that her skin will
be better here, but she doesn't see any difference.  Gee, as a Realtor, I
always have to do the feature/benefit thing, don't I?
Anyway, I'd love to find an old farm house on some acreage that I could
afford to restore and have an old red barn with Coca-Cola painted on the
side.  I think 40 acres would be nice......I met a different guy from
California that had horses on his land and he told me he had some acreage.
When I asked him how many acres he had, he told he had 3/4!!  I nearly
died!
