Did you ever hear the story about the Gurkhas who were asked to 
volunteer for a mission behind enemy lines?
It seems that the British officer who asked for volunteers explained 
that they would be flown behind the enemy lines where they would jump 
out and then engage the enemy. About half of them volunteered.
Then one of the Gurkhas stood up and explained something to the others 
in their own language, whereupon the other half volunteered as well. He 
turned to the British officer and apologized for the initial reluctance 
explaining, "They didn't understand that you would provide parachutes."
