Is it likely that connecting a USB 2.0 device to a USB 2.0 port with a 
USB 1.1 cable can cause operating problems with the device?

In my case I had a 2.0 HDD connected to a 2.0 port with a 1.1 cable and 
sometimes the disk activity would freeze the computer, and I am 
wondering whether that might be the problem or if maybe I am having HDD 
problems.
