Hi John,

 JC> I couldn't resist it.

I was counting on that ..

JC>> Series 5 V.32bis Modem Y7DFS(A) v2.34 (C) NetComm (Aust) 1993

JC> Both had the modern plastic case with the row of 9
JC> rectangular LEDs and the swing down door on the lower RHS.

Seems like mine just has the wrong (E7F) writing on the door, then.

JC> It IS possible to open the case by using a nail file or
JC> similar to prise the two clips holding the lid to the base
JC> (in the air vents on underside front) BUT be carefull as
JC> the clips are prone to breaking if treated ungently.

:) I couldn't resist. Thanks, I would have busted it for sure otherwise.
No further definite clues inside. I can't complain, it's working fine from
here, though I've yet to try it from one of the more difficult outlying
areas.

IS> Sure does - yes, I'm piecing a complete if terse manual together from
IS> those screens, which should do most of the trick. Thanks for the
 IS> magic key!

JC> I have about 8 of the manuals for the M7F. Let me know
JC> next time you're in Sydney town if you need one.

Well, it's been five years (apart from a brief shopping expedition last
year), and it might be that long again .. see netmail.

Cheers, Ian
