On his death bed John Piper uttered modems for a BBS to Glen Collins.....
GC> Well the first two roadsters I had would hardly connect to any otehr

JP> AT&F &K3 &D2 \N3 -K0 S7=60 S0=0 %E2
JP> Write that to NVRAM and use ATZ thereafter.
How do you write that into the NVRAM? I've currently got a 28.8k Roadster,
(Model AM3450D an older model without the voice/fax recongnition) and
experiencing some really bad connects, sometimes even 14400 connects on
Couriers sometimes it seems to try to handshake twice, kind of beeping and
bloooping identicaly until the end of the second one, then it somtimes
connects.
Would that init string hopefully cure this?
