No, that's the way we think over here.  Kilometers have never really clicked (heh!).

*I* would like to hear the windspeed in knots, because that's what I'm
used to, but I just have to give it up. (One nautical mile = 2025 yards,
standard mile = 1760 yards, but the real reason nautical miles hang around
is that one nautical mile = one minute of latitude).
