1st of all you need to read whats been going on...The modems being 
able to connect to each other has never been a issue. Also USR has 
always went in their own direction. The 56 modems are driven by the
internet marketplace and nothing else.
I had a customer call me the other day saying his modem connected at 52k 
he was real proud. I asked him what download rates he was getting...He 
proudly announced...3K....What a joke...
