Ok, understood.
I believe the original question was what is the internal USB connector
on the card was for - that has been answered pretty completely by
several people.
As an extension to this however, those internal motherboard connectors,
can also be used for internal devices but more often you would get a
rear panel plate with additional USB sockets on it and the fly leads
from it connect to the motherboard ports, giving additional externally
accessible USB ports.
