Just so others don't acquire incorrect knowledge, this is totally
incorrect.  Perhaps you have just forgetten, so I recommend you review how
the os you are using processes config.sys.

Yes.  Some folks even format flash drives with HPFS or JFS.  This will
become more useful as these drives get larger.
