subject: Netscape & WinOS/2

Hi Dave,
DC> There are definately reasons to like Netscape/2. Make
DC> sure you are running a version downloaded from IBM
DC> after June 27th 1997 as a major bug fix appeared that day.
I went to upgrade Netscape/2 and all I can find is a copy of
Netscape/2 with a NETSCAPE.PKG, along with a few other files with a date of
June 24th, 1997. In that file, it says service level "000004." I used the
"Get Netscape" icon, which takes you to www.internet.ibm.com/browsers +
/netscape/warp. I downloaded the English version OS2EN202.EXE. Since you
said "after" the 27th, I didn't bother installing this version. 8-) No sense
installing something that has a "major bug fix" already. 8-)
I'll check some other mesages and see if I can find the URL for the
version you're talking about.
        Thanks!
                                                Victor
P.S.
I didn't find a new URL address (didn't look too hard as I ran out of
time), but I got Netscape for Windows 2.02 running under WinOS/2 now. 8-)
Someone had mentioned about having the RESOLV file in the TCPIP/DOS/ETC
directory. I copied mine from the MPTN/ETC subdirectory and lo and behold,
Netscape for Windows started working! 8-)
