The thread about reading has been going on for some time, and I believed
it to be about reading instruction in the elementary grades. If you are
only going to talk about specific grades, please state so up front. As I
understand it, it is not all that uncommon for third graders to still have
difficulty with reading. I suppose it depends upon the environment, to
some extent.
