I saw it around here a few weeks ago. Really lame attempt at a trojan.
First, MS said there'd be no Win96 at all. Second, the service pack was
a graphical program. Third, anybody who can use a file viewer, or even
CABView from PowerToys can view if a cab file is real. The pathetic
individual who made the one we had circulating around here had labeled
it as from MS, and labeled to Win96. There was a BMP included that was
the startup logo, but inplace of the 95, it said 96. The 6 was merely the
9 copied upside-down over the 5, probably in PaintBrush. It was a cheap
text mode, monochrome program, that was just one of those batch file
compiler outputs. All it did was delete the boot files, and copy a one
megabyte garbage file over to the root directory to make undeletetion of
the boot files impossible. The Trash file was labeled as WIN96.CAB, yet
you could view the trash nonsense it contained. Pitiful...

Well, in my opinion, yes. The betas are really good looking, coming along
a lot. The version number is even changed, so no more Version 2.3 crapo...
