That's what I was figuring... these things sound really nice, especially 
compared to what I used to have (cheesy Magnavox 3 way 6 ohm speakers).

I've thrown about 50 watts at them... one of them has had a new woofer put in 
before I got them (I think about 5 years ago), since it got blown, but the 
other has the original one... the only reason I haven't twisted the knob 
further is the one with the original woofer makes a cracking noise.. my 
reciever can throw 70 watts/channel at them when I have the surround turned 
on, or 120/channel at them without the surround (I usually have it on, since 
I watch movies a lot)...
