I think television programmes are pretty much global these days, even if locally produced. One here is "Who wants to be a millionaire?" Multiple choice. Fifteen questions to get you to a million. Last question but one a few weeks back, for half a million: "Which of these people never walked on the moon?" I instantly knew the answer. Four names went up: A, B, C and D. I can't remember who D was, but I knew the name. A was James Lovell, and that was the right answer. He flew two Gemini missions, he was Command Module Pilot on Apollo 8 (free return) and Mission Cmmander on Apollo 13 (emergency free return). But B and C? Neither name rang any bells. Back at the time I remember being disappointed that the later Apollo missions got so little attention, but to discover that I myself had failed to mark two names was quite a shock. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
