less than $30 that are dual layer.

The reason I became interested in DVD to begin with is I'm saving
some tivo files for my wife, and had to use my son's Win machine to
do the job.  I don't need it for backup as I have installed a 500gb
ide and write to that.  Plus I use BA2k for tape, and even if it
would burn to DVD, it's limited to 2gb so it's not really worth it
for me to use ba2k for copy to disk.

A 30 min tivo program is about 825MB more or less.  I figured I
could get 5 segments on a DVD.  Turns out I can only get about an
hour of programming on a 4gig dvd using high quality.  I have no
idea what the difference in qualities will do, if it of concern or
not.  I notice that my son's  software performs some kind of
translation that converts the 825mb tivo file into a 2.2gb video. 
I don't recall that I've heard of anything for os/2 that will do
something like this but I have not followed this type of
development.  I figure since there is so much trouble with various
wva's and other video streams that perhaps there is nothing
available for this purpose.  Since these files have to be
converted, first to mpeg, then to dvd, I wonder why I should even
bother installing a DVD.

Does anyone know about os/2 and burning tivo files?
