I've never done one. If I remember right you get to that option by
hitting ctrl-alt-numlock-numlock, is that right? Then you need a lot of
formated floppies.

I was focused on hardware then I started receiving suggestions about
software. I believe that reinstalling the driver was suggested. Since I
have not changed that driver and IF it was the problem I reasoned that
something must have happened to it. Seemed logical at the time.
Remember I'm not a programmer or a techie, just an interested user.
