No, Rick I truly believe you're right. After reading my messages I
called the Hayes tech support and after getting my modem VER # and other
info, the tech informed me my modem is one of the latest and the ONLY
upgrade needed will be when ITU recommendations are ratified. THAT will
be a FLASH ROM upgrade and it will be free! So no matter what is chosen,
rather it be X2 or 56K flex...Hayes will honor it. BUT!!! the tech also
mention the ITU ratification might not happen until 1998.
