I have run into the problem of things following out of archive due to lack
of interest.  I transfer something from floppy to zip disk, to hard  disk,
to a larger hard disk, and then onto a DVD-R (currently).

And really you get a lot of crap, and after a while you just saying
"I;ll save this and the rest... oh well.."

Sadly for many programmers they might not have thought the old programs
were all that worthwhile.  I like to treasure my work, but I do have some
games I wrote on the Atari 400 that the floppy fell to bit rot. Sucked.
