I need help using Mel's older drive setup using the 74SL04 hex = inverters,
I have the motors making sounds during ramping up using the = hand pad but
they do not move. I don't know if it is the different = zener diodes I
used in place of the recommended ones (don't know the = working of zener
diodes), or could it be something else. I do not have = much experience in
trouble shooting electronics. The motors are 8 lead = 8.2v applied motion
high torque, when I could hook up the ground leads = and power the others
in the right sequence and the motors would work = fine. Is there suppose
to be another connection from the PC to the = board?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the board schematic I used.
