Hi again Dan,
DT>RL>What is the Box It and Bag It course? The Workjobs II kit and
DT>It is put out by the same people that promote Math Their Way. It is
  >more theory and a huge "Make it/Take it part. They have a huge
  >catalogue to order parts to make appropriate age-level games that help
  >teach and reinforce certain concepts.
This sounds interesting and I don't know why I haven't heard of it. I
have the catalogue from the Centre of Innovation in Education and
haven't seen this at all. Maybe, if I remember, I'll call and ask them
about it. I've been meaning to write them to complain about the fact
that they do not give us a certificate for taking the Math Their Way
course. Here we may not have to do the hours of Professional Development
that teachers in the U.S. have to do but I still need proof that I have
put in those hours. All my certificates are going in my personal
portfolio. One year, soon, we are going to have to put in the PD over a
period of years and I'd like my proof - thank you very much.
DT>I am still making my kits and it seems an endless task. I was
putting
  >off much of the work with the hopes of a grade level change.
Now Im
  >working to catch up on things..
So tell me more - what kind of things are you making? Is there a book
that goes with this course because I am sure I have heard of the title?
Are the activities just Math activities or for other areas as well?
Looking forward to hearing more.
                                -Ruth-
