RF> GC> I have however been *VERY* concerned about his willingness to chat
RF> GC> with everyone and anyone in any context at any time. He does not
RF> GC> worry about whether or not they might mean him harm, they
RF> GC> are just some one to entertain with his stories.
RF> That definetly can be a scary thing, but these children have a
RF> tendency to not think first. They put themselves in possible
RF> dangerous positions. My Jeremy feels he can beat up anyone and no
RF> harm can come to him. Although he is definetly a tuff guy, I think
RF> he believes he is invincible.
GC> Jeremy had us *VERY* frightened for about a year because he honestly
GC> beleived that if a car was coming towards him, all he would have to do
GC> was stretch out his hand and it would stop for him no matter the speed!
GC> It took many months of convincing and a demonstration of the power of
GC> the car to get him to accept that maybe his idea wasn't quite "on the
GC> mark".
One of my grandsons would run in the street if you were not holding his
hand or watching him like a hawk. He just didn't think...As he has
gotten a little older [he will be six] and in school, he is much better.
He realizes that he could get hurt. But it was very scary for awhile.
He is ADHD and is on medicine and it seems to be helping him to control
his impulses.
