Yeah, I think this is a perfect example of the original story getting skewed.
IIRC, which I may not, because of the mad cow issues most imported haggis was
prohibited from being imported into the US and classified as unfit for human
consumption because of concern of contamination. At least that's more or less
the reader's digest version we got up in Canukistan, some of the details may be
incorrect.
