I object to the `Medicare and Social Security' part.


For all my working life now, I've had no alternative but to pay into Social
Security. And. when it came along, I've also been made to pay for Medicare.


I pay almost two hundred dollars a month for Medicare, and I don't even use
it. I have my own HMO which I pay for by the year, and Medicare doesn't do
squat for my health insurance or prescriptions. Not one single penny. Yet..
.....I pay for it. It isn't a choice.....its mandatory! I don't get `billed'
every month for Social Security and Medicare.....the payments are *taken*
away from me in deductions.I never even have the money in my pocket or bank
account. By the time an actual paycheck gets to me, the payments for Social
Security and Medicare are already gone, and the government is spending it on
something!
