When you stop and think about it, there's nothing in the Fido specs that has changed to the point where Binkley has to play catch up. Hardware has changed (faster modems) and even that is supported up to 115200 and that was done almost at the same time the faster modems started hitting the market. I've been running Binkley since 2.30 and have been very happy with it. I tried out a few others, the major one being FrontDoor. Too many headaches with FD. The layout could be confusing, some settings didn't make sense (mainly description of function), and some others had to be kludged to get them to work the same way they did in Binkley WITHOUT kludging. Binkley also has the advantage of all of its operational settings and requirements being controlled by just two major files -- the .CFG and the .EVT files. Much better, IMHO, then the dozens of dropdown screens required for other mailer packages. I want to be able to make my changes in ONE or TWO locations and be done with it instead of playing 'setting tag' with a bunch of menus, sub-menus, sub-sub-menus, ad nauseum. George ...
