       Are you certain about the above? The reason I ask is because someone
advised me to do the same for running my DOS based BBS under OS/2 and it
caused symptoms remarkably like what you describe below...

 LE> respond to keystrokes (even ^Esc and @Esc) so that you can switch away
 LE> to kill the DOS window.
       ...and it all went away when I turned INT_DURING_IO to OFF. I know we
aren't talking about the same thing but I'd think it's be worth a try to see
what happens.
