AFAIR. The 50-pin is limited to AFAIR, 10MB/second Drive

Yes, definitely, otherwise you won't be able to get a decent size disk
in above range. I normally would say I'll send you those two BIOS
updates, but currently everything here is in a state of flux - hardware
upgrades - disk problems etc. BTW the 3.10 is a completely different
animal to the 2.57 and earlier - radically different ROM management.
Best to do a progressive upgrade.

I'm running U160, no 2940UW around to check - it died - so I'm not
strictly sure about the LVD capability bit on that HBA!

sure it's not 25 on each side? I have an external Plextor 2x CD-ROM

Hi Cal,
I thought you might have missed my response, as I hadn't seen it until
now, because my answer preceded your enquiry in my inbox - your headers
have the following;
Date: Fri, 2 Nov 2007 08:33:04 MST
which by my figuring would give me a local time here in Australian
Eastern Standard Time of 01:33:04 on Saturday 3rd, it's showing up in my
Thunderbird Inbox originated at 01:33 on the 3rd (my time-date), whilst
it's currently only 23:48 of the 2nd Nov.
Aha -- just noticed MST not MDT - did you change over the clock early?
Isn't it still MDT there until early Sunday morning?
Regards,
Mike
