Yes, that will work. Even ide internal will work. You have to
make sure you tell the bios that the scsi is the boot device
otherwise it may try to boot from ide.

I have had problems with slot position using 2 HBA's but they are
different manuf. When I previously used 2 HBA of same manuf there
was not a problem.

I always buy scsi stuff on eBay and it's not very expensive,
especially the older scsi stuff. I've had very good luck but I
suppose you could find a lemon.

I can't say, I can only say what I've read, it's theory. In the
past I had stuff on the same HBA and didn't really notice a
slowdown.

I'm not sure if they make 68 pin to 25 pin, I know they make 50->25
and 68->50 but this info will be easy to research. You should
check the availability before buying more stuff. One place I've
