| subject: | DOSEMU for DOS doors under Slackware 12.1 |
Good evening, folks... I've currently gotten MBSE 0.95.5 unpacked, configured, compiled, and installed under Slackware 12.1. Everything seems to be working OK. Now I would like to get DOSEMU running so I can get my DOS doors working with MBSE. The instructions available on www.mbse.eu seem to be for an older version of DOSEMU (1.2.2); I tried using them with the current 1.4.0 version from www.dosemu.org, but it's not working properly. Whenever I run mbsedos, I end up at a message saying "bad or missing command interpreter: z:\command.com /e:1024 /p" It appears to me that DOSEMU is insisting on using the systemwide /etc/dosemu.conf, and not the copy that I've modified in /opt/mbse/etc/dosemu. I also tried copying the modified file to ~/.dosemurc, with the same results. Any ideas on how I should proceed? Is anyone sucessfully using DOSEMU 1.4.0 under Slackware to run doors from MBSE? Later, Andrew ... Computer Hacker wanted.
