After keying all the cars in the lot, Holger had this to say to Bill
lofski:
HG> Hello Bill,
BA->> I am PRAYING that Semware releases a native OS/2 verison of
BA->> TSEPro. :)
HG> Would QEdit for OS/2 v3.0 be too simple?? It's not shareware but you
HG> can buy it. It also includes a registered v3.0 for DOS.
I have been a registered user of Qedit since its very early versions. I have
been following and upgrading along the way. When Qedit for OS/2 came out, I
believe I was running DOS/QEMM/DesqView and had no need for it at the time.
By the time I was running OS/2 again, I had already been using TSE pro for
long enough to become very attached to it. I have not actually fired up Qedit
in quite some time, and am not even sure I know where my original disks are
.
HG> I have had the OS/2 version since 1993 and believe me it still works
Yes, but it can not do things that I am very attached to in TSE Pro. (I think
one of them, on a simplistic level, is multiple find/replace in multiple open
documents.) There are others, but it is late and that was the only feature
that quickly popped into my head. :)
BA->> In the mean time, how pray-tell can you do column
BA->> mark/del/copy/move operation(s) with Word????
HG> No but you can with QEdit!!
That was my very point. Someone mentioned that Word was a good enough app to
use... (Heck, show me ANY GUI editor that can do a column operation like
Qedit or TSE PRO can!)
HG> Have a nice day,
Right back at ya!
Cheers!
