I've driven a Discovery - at least the '97 or '98 model. It felt tippy, but
I think that was just a side effect of a fully independent suspension and
not as wide a wheeltrack as the Hummer.

Personally I think we ought to be looking very hard at a South African
produced vehicle called the Buffel. You can see some of them here:
