Mike,
Thanks for the word on multicard readers with floppy. I will
look for one.
I got the Tomcat from Derek Keoughan in
Canada. Derek sells systems with OS/2 installed. I bought the
BAR Board from him about 2 years ago for about $200.00, I
think. I put it in my existing system myself. I just bought
another on Ebay for $100.00. But be careful, the one I bought
is a slightly different model with no sound on board, and it
came without a back plane stiffener without which I cannot
mount a CPU heat sink. I believe that the technical department
at Tyan is sending me the part. Derek says that this board has
been made obsolete by the AMD AM2 socket boards. These boards
will serve me well for a few years.
Please tell me what a MAC is. Is it a brand of Ethernet chip
or is it something related only to remote booting or both.
